1. OPTIONS & BOOKING
Booking options may be placed free of charge for a period of 7 days.
A valid booking option is one that has been formally confirmed by us to you in writing.
- Within 7 days, your booking must be confirmed by payment of the deposit (a 30% of the overall property rental cost).
- After 7 days, if we have not received the deposit required, your booking option will be dealt with as automatically cancelled by you and the property will be made instantly available to the next client in priority.
Please note that no agreement between us exists until the following prerequisites are all met in full:
- Payment of the deposit 30% of the overall property rental cost (as described above).
- Upon payment of the deposit, our booking form needs to be returned to us completed in full and duly signed by the booking client.
- A booking confirmation will be sent to you in writing by us, as soon as we have received the deposit and our booking form signed.
2. YOUR OUTSTANDING BALANCE
The outstanding balance of your overall property rental cost must be cleared in full at least eight weeks before the start date of your holiday with us.
Non-payment of the balance by the due date will result in cancelation charges (see Paragraph 3) and we shall therefore be entitled without prejudice to retain the deposit.
Please note that for all bookings made within eight weeks of your holiday start date, the total cost of your holiday will have to be paid in full at the time of booking.
3. CANCELATION CONDITIONS
It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment, then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost:
- 60 days or more before the start date of your holiday with us (deposit 30%).
- 59 to 30 days before the start date of your holiday with us (50% of the total holiday cost).
- 30 days before the start date of your holiday with us (100% of the total holiday cost).
Please note that all cancelations need to be formally assessed and therefore they must be sent to us in writing.
4. ALTERATIONS / CANCELATIONS BY US
Changes to confirmed arrangements are highly unlikely to occur from our side, except for unforeseen or unusual circumstances beyond our control, under which we may be unable to provide you with the property you have booked. In that case, we will advise you at the earliest possible date and we reserve the right to transfer you to a similar property.
However, if this is not at all possible or if you do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the booking and refund the amount paid to us for the property, but we will not be liable for any cancelation charges for travel arrangements or any other incidental expenses that may have incurred as a result of your booking.
5. MINIMUM LETTING PERIOD
- In weekly terms, your minimum letting period is two weeks at all times, unless otherwise noted on the specific property or agreed between us during the booking procedure.
- In daily terms, your minimum stay cannot be less than 3 days at all times.
- In general, exceptions may be allowed, however please note that they are entirely subject to our availability.
6. NUMBER OF GUESTS
During your stay, you hereby agree that the property shall only be used by those guests whose names are clearly being stated in our booking form.
The client signing the booking form also undertakes the responsibility that the number of guests will not exceed at any time and under any circumstances the maximum sleeping capacity of the property, as this will be clearly stated in our brochure / website.
Replacements of guests during your stay at the property can be made acceptable, given ours and the property owner's prior knowledge and written consent.
Negligence of the above, whether intentional or not, shall be dealt with as a clear breach of contract from you and it will be entirely up to the key holder's discretion to ask the clients to vacate the property.
7. ARRIVAL - DEPARTURE TIMES
The official check-in time on the date of your arrival is after 16:00 p.m. and the check-out time is before 10:00 a.m. on the date of your departure.
Any early or late check-in/check-out requests should be sent to us in writing during the booking procedure, and they are entirely subject to our prior written confirmation. Kindly note that as we usually operate under a very tight schedule it may not always be within our control to accommodate you with any similar last minute requests.
8. CHILDREN POLICY
Infants or children under 2 years old are not included in the occupancy figures. However, if a child or infant is traveling with you, please inform us during the booking procedure so that we may advise you best on the suitability of the property that you are considering and/or assist you with any additional arrangements that may be necessary for your child's best comfort and safety. Please note that all responsibility for your infant's and/or your child’s attention, safety and adequate insurance arrangements lies with you at all times during your stay with us.
9. GUEST INJURY DISCLAIMER
Neither the owner of the property nor us (Elegant Greece) can be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur to all guests during their stay at the property under any circumstances.
10. TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is a condition of booking that your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance including coverage against trip cancellation and against personal injury. The appropriate coverage should be purchased at the time of booking. Please contact your travel agent, travel consultant or insurance broker about this. Your signature on the booking form confirms that you are covered by such insurance.
11. BEHAVIOUR
It is a condition of booking that the client signing the contract is responsible for his own and his party’s correct and decent behaviour at all times during their stay with us.
Should the client and/or his party behave in any way in a manner that is not acceptable by civilised standards, the key holder retains the right to ask the client and his party to vacate the property immediately. Please note that in any such occasion that may result in a voluntary or involuntary termination of your holiday, there will be no refunds or discounts for missed or unused services.
12. DAMAGES TO THE PROPERTY
It is a condition of booking that the client signing the booking form is responsible for the proper use and respect of the property and its all of its contents at all times during his and his party's stay. Any damages caused to the property or its contents, either by you or any member of your party must be reported immediately to us and you will bear the cost of repair or replacement.
13. PETS POLICY
In most of our properties, pets can only be made acceptable with the expressed written permission and authorization in direct consult with the villa owner. Should you intend to bring one with you, kindly make sure to consult with us in the first place, during the booking procedure. All responsibility for your pet’s safety and adequate insurance arrangements lies with you at all times during your stay with us.
14. GUESTS WITH HEALTH ISSUES
Should you or any of the people traveling in your party have any health issues or disabilities, please inform us during the booking procedure so that we may best advise you on the suitability of the property that you are considering and/or assist you with any additional arrangements that may be necessary for your best comfort and safety.
Also, in case anyone in your group has serious allergies that they know of (or even in case that they do not), please be aware that almost all of our properties are located in rural settings, on an island's country-like environment with natural local flora and fauna (flowers, trees, insects, domestic animals such as cats, dogs, sheep, goats, donkeys etc.)
15. WATER ON THE ISLANDS
Please note that the water on the islands is generally suitable for all uses (i.e. cooking, showering, washing the dishes), except for drinking. Although many of our properties are equipped with water filtration devices making tap water genuinely safe for consumption, we do advise you at all times to use bottled water for drinking purposes.
16. PHOTOS OF THE PROPERTY
It is a condition of booking that any photos taken at any of the properties (including their surrounding outdoor premises) cannot be used for commercial or advertising purposes without ours and the owner's written consent and authorization.
17. TELEPHONE AND INTERNET
Please note that most of our properties do not have telephone. For your best convenience, you are kindly advised to travel with at least one mobile phone with you.
In properties where internet service is being provided, we will do our best so that you enjoy an uninterrupted service throughout your stay with us. However, we cannot be held responsible for any problems caused due to local network malfunctions, interruptions or technical difficulties. Should that be the case, please be so kind as to contact us immediately and report the problem and we will do everything within our power to assist you with it.
18. VALUABLES
All the Greek islands are among the safest holiday destinations worldwide, yet prevention is always better than the cure. During your stay in any of our properties, we strongly advise you at all times to make sure that you have properly secured the property every time that you wish to go out.
For your best convenience, most of our properties are equipped with safe boxes. In case a safe box is not available, please make sure to avoid creating temptations by leaving your valuables in plain sight or in places that can be seen from a window. Valuables left unattended at the property are at client's own risk. Neither us (Elegant Greece) nor the owner and the property staff can be held responsible for their loss or misplacement.
19. ENTERTAINMENT AT THE PROPERTY
Entertainment parties and/or functions such as wedding receptions and birthday parties (involving a large number of invitees, loud music, external catering service and personnel etc) are strictly prohibited without ours and the property owner's prior knowledge and written consent. Unauthorized use of a privately owned property in any such way constitutes a clear breach of contract from you, in which case the keyholder retains the right to ask all guests to vacate the property immediately and your security deposit will be fully forfeited until all applicable compensation claims are fully assessed by the owner.
Should you intend to hold a party or a function during your stay at the property, please be so kind as to let us know during the booking procedure so that we may advise you on the suitability of the property for the event that you are considering, secure authorization from the owner and assist you with the necessary arrangements, advising you on trustworthy personnel that will be fully authorized for the correct use of the property, its premises and its amenities.
20. CLAIMS & COMPLAINTS
We have visited and inspected each and every one of the properties that we feature in our portfolio. All descriptions of the properties featured in our website and our brochure, including photographs and texts, are all accurate at the time of publishing and made in good faith. Elegant Greece declines all responsibility for any modifications made to the properties, their premises and/or their amenities by their respectful owners, without our prior knowledge, after the time of publishing.
Should any problems arise during your stay in one of our properties, every effort will be made by us to attend and assist you solve the problem, yet please be so kind as to bring it to our attention as soon as possible. Kindly note that it is literally and practically impossible for us to help you with any claims, complaints or problems you may have if you do not contact us during your stay with us. We regret to inform you that any claims, complaints or problems brought to our attention only towards the end of your stay or after you have left the property, they will not be taken into consideration. Clients who voluntarily choose to vacate the property on any grounds without our prior knowledge waive all rights to any eventual refund.
21. LAW & JURISDICTION
In the event of any dispute concerning the terms and conditions of this contract, the parties agree that any such disputes shall be settled by the Courts of Volos, Greece.
